Solo Alternate Roots powerhouse, Dallas Frasca, didnt start singing until she was 19 years old. Ten years on, Frascas mighty soul-voice resonates through venues, stereos, and radio stations across Australia. Frasca has sung in an array of bands from metal to funk. Her passion and the natural gutsy tone in her voice always lead her back to roots music. Frasca became an original member of Blues-rock band Trevors House.

Look up ‘evangelical’ in the dictionary and you will find that one of the definitions is “marked by ardent or zealous enthusiasm for a cause.” It’s why anyone who too fervently takes a stand on an issue can quickly wear away at your patience, no matter how noble the cause. It is also the reason why evangelical seems to be the best word to describe Rachael Brady’s second album Somewhere Sunshine. While her affections do not necessarily lie with Christian beliefs, they can be annoyingly zealous to a fault.
Progressive surf roots rockers Band of Frequencies have played all over the world with the likes of Donovan Frankenreiter, John Butler, Angus Stone and Ash Grunwald; as well as some of the world’s most amazing festivals and events, among them the Billabong 'Banzai' Pipe Masters, Hawaii; North Shore Surf Film Festival, Hawaii; Surf & Sound Tour, Japan. Not to mention some of Australia’s premier festivals: Splendour in the Grass, Mullum Music Festival and Woodford Folk Festival.
Singer/songwriter Colleen de Winton, classical/flamenco guitarist Eddie Blatt and violinist Jera Sansom are the heart of Ionnah – and drew the group’s name from the sacred isle of the same name, found off the coast of Scotland.
The rising and falling. The searching and waiting. The endless thoughts of sinking Duplicated blondes Carefully calculate and write Send off parcels overnight Teenage vagabonds Graze on gravel shores And hunt like fools and whores Nightmare makers So cunningly creep Mixing their ideas into sleep Cosmic census takers Select random souls And drop their victims into holes Crawling over day break Lost in the landscape I'm on my way home.
