Straight out of Erschwil in Switzerland “Navel” are a great rock band and since their first appearance in may 2003, Navel have played about 50 local venues as well as open air festivals in switzerland and germany.
This series of Synchronicity soundtracks is the slowest, most continually meditative music available. This soundtrack contains two 30 minute selections, "Echoes of Eternity" and "Silent Spaces". Both feature a soothing combination of sampled voice and slow-moving ethereal sound. Welcome to Band of Frequencies new album, 'Sol Train'. Created by Shannon Sol R. Carroll, Oj Newcomb & Mark Henman, this album offers a great selection of original sounds from a collective of musicians that have been making very fluid sound waves. Their sound is a rootsy concoction of rock 'n' soul, electric guitar and drum driven psychedelic journeys, acoustic ambient jams and laid back grooves fit for a Sunday arvo on the verandah. If you like roots music and an earthy mix of sonic styles then this album is a must.
The Mago - This instrument (the didjeridu) is known as Mago in the Mayali language group of Western and Southern Arnhem Land. In Mayali, the word Mago also means night bird, or Owl. Darryl's home, Western Arnhem Land in the Northern Territory of Australia, is the original birthplace of the Mago.
Well, we got together when we met in Year 7 at Ballina High. Geoff Slingsby was playing drums while Ben Whiting and Bill Donaldson were cousins and had been playing guitar together. We found we like the same sort of music like Blink 182 and Sum 41 so we started practicing at school and then at Geoff’s place. We entered a few competitions and got places in them. In year 8 we won first place in Ashtons High School Rock in Brisbane against about 60 other school bands.
