The British trio, fronted by New Zealander Mikey McCleary, have already seen UK indie chart success with their first two singles, and it is not hard to see why. The Naked Apes specialise in upbeat, bouncy pop-punk tunes laced with consistently catchy melodies. Although not breaking any new musical ground, they have assembled a strong collection of well-written poppy guitar-driven songs.

She spent her childhood in a spiritual community in India, studied in the USA, and spent her time with Bhakta in Byron Bay, combining her love for music and working with people through singing, counselling and creating sacred cermonies and celebrations.

Welcome to Band of Frequencies new album, 'Sol Train'. Created by Shannon Sol R. Carroll, Oj Newcomb & Mark Henman, this album offers a great selection of original sounds from a collective of musicians that have been making very fluid sound waves. Their sound is a rootsy concoction of rock 'n' soul, electric guitar and drum driven psychedelic journeys, acoustic ambient jams and laid back grooves fit for a Sunday arvo on the verandah. If you like roots music and an earthy mix of sonic styles then this album is a must.
This album is definitely one of the best albums i own. Diana is one of the worlds best artists, and this album is the work of a genius from an artist with one of the best sounding voices ever. Some of the songs on this album totally rock and you will fall in love with them straight away. Others take a while to grow on you, but they eventually will, and then you will find yourself with album full of favoutites.
As far as urban music goes – actually, as far as music in general - Cee & Bekah are unprecedented. Never before has an MC and a female vocalist joined together as a duo, let alone deliver so much soul. But that alone isn’t what separates these two talented artists from the over-crowded pack.
'India All Over', is one of those albums you would take with you if you were beamed to another planet...a rare collection of Indian male and female vocalists on a magic carpet of sensual grooves and reflective vibes....with the ultimate ocean of sound: the 23 minutes long "om-prayer".
“Hypnotic, trancy beats that rise and fall with knowing intensity are complemented by pulsing rhythms and beautifully controlled didg textures. The album is deeply infused with low bass and dub sounds, but it’s the unique indigenous instruments and excerpts of vocalising that imbue Xenophon with such an unusual flavour. Understated brilliance. (4 stars)” Lauren Zoric. Rolling Stone, September 1998"
