Welcome to the first “ROCK” compilation from Soundfoundation, we have collected 8 great tracks from 8 bands and artists on this web site to produce an album for those who love Rock music.
First, Grace Knight took the Eurogliders pop band to chart topping success throughout the 80s, then she became Australia's number one selling Jazz Diva in the 90s In her early teens Grace began singing in folk clubs and competing in national talent quests. Anxious to spread her wings, she sang her passage on a cruise ship to Australia where her sister introduced her to musician Bernie Lynch. Grace honed her performing skills as Lynch shaped the band that was to become the "Eurogliders".

Progressive surf roots rockers Band of Frequencies have played all over the world with the likes of Donovan Frankenreiter, John Butler, Angus Stone and Ash Grunwald; as well as some of the world’s most amazing festivals and events, among them the Billabong 'Banzai' Pipe Masters, Hawaii; North Shore Surf Film Festival, Hawaii; Surf & Sound Tour, Japan. Not to mention some of Australia’s premier festivals: Splendour in the Grass, Mullum Music Festival and Woodford Folk Festival.
A timeless individual John Crosbie has been working in the Australian music industry for 30 years, working in Melbourne with the mercurial young talent of Producer / Musician heath king, “My Sanctuary” is John's latest release and if you have a listen im sure you will agree that this is a talented singer songwriter.
Local Byron artist Cheynne Murphy is in good company having just been added to the 2009 Bluesfest line-up featuring Ben Harper, John Butler,and Michael Franti amongst others.
In TRAVELLING SONGS (1994) the song titles say it all; ‘Pig Wobble’, ‘Ride’, ‘Scramble’, ‘Stampede’. The didj riffs are fast, strong, and melodies express the exhilaration of travelling. The Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) dubbed it ‘jazz goes walkabout’. Besides the pacey didj riffs there’s chunky keyboard, wild saxophone and solid drum playing.
Heavily influenced by suburban icons like Victa lawnmowers, Hills Hoist washing lines and 3 legged barbeques, Fishing With Henry display the talent and ability that back-yard cricketers yearn for.
